Wedding Invitations
The first thing your guests hold. Make it unforgettable.
Your invitation arrives before everything else, before the venue, before the florals, before the day itself. It's the first experience your guests have of your wedding, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. The weight of the paper, the depth of the impression, the care in every detail, all of it tells your guests, before they read a single word, that what's coming is something truly special.
At Heyday Press, every wedding suite is designed from scratch by Carissa and pressed by hand on Claude, our 1940s cast iron press, one sheet at a time into thick cotton paper. No templates. No digital shortcuts. Nothing adapted from someone else's wedding. Just a completely original suite built entirely around yours.
What's Included
Every suite is customized to your needs. Most couples choose some combination of:
Invitation — the centerpiece of your suite, designed around your wedding's tone, palette, and personality
Details Card — venues, accommodations, timeline, and everything guests need to know
RSVP Card & Envelope — designed to match, pressed with the same care
Envelope Liners — a beautiful surprise when guests open the envelope
Outer Envelopes — printed or hand-addressed to complete the suite
Save the Dates — the first hint of what's coming, months before the invitation arrives
Thank You Cards — for after the day, when the feeling is still fresh
Not sure what you need? Tell us about your wedding and we'll help you figure it out.
The Process
Working with Heyday Press is collaborative from start to finish. Here's how it works:
01 — Tell us your vision
Fill out our project form and share as much or as little as you have a color, a feeling, a Pinterest board, a single word. We'll take it from there.
02 — Design
Carissa designs your suite from scratch, built around your wedding. You'll see proofs before anything goes to press and have the chance to refine every detail until it's exactly right.
03 — Your Press Session(optional but highly recommended)
Come into the studio, meet Claude, and pull your own impressions alongside Carissa. Bring your photographer and make an afternoon of it.
04 — Press
Every sheet is hand-fed, hand-checked, and pressed one at a time. Anything that doesn't meet the standard goes in the scrap bin. Only the beautiful ones ship.
05 — Delivered
Your finished suite arrives ready to address and send — and ready to be kept long after the wedding is over.
The Press Session Experience
For couples who want to be part of the story.
This is our favorite thing we offer and most couples don't know it's possible.
Once your suite is designed and ready to press, you and your partner are invited into the Heyday Press studio for your very own press session. Carissa will walk you through how Claude works, show you how the ink is mixed, and guide you through pulling your own impressions, the actual invitations that will land in your guests' hands.
It's hands-on, intimate, and genuinely unlike anything else in the wedding planning process. Couples tell us it's one of their favorite memories from the entire engagement.
Bring your photographer. The studio light is beautiful, the press is magnificent, and the moment you pull your first perfect impression is one worth having on film.
Press sessions are available by appointment and included as an option with any full wedding suite. Just let us know when you inquire and we'll build it into your timeline.
Investment
Letterpress wedding suites are a genuine investment, and we believe in being completely upfront about what that means. Every suite is quoted around your project — the design, paper choice, quantity, and number of pieces all factor in.
Wedding suites at Heyday Press start at $4,000, with most full collections falling between $7,000 and $15,000. Every quote is transparent, itemized, and delivered within 48 hours of your initial inquiry — no hidden costs, no surprises.
Timeline
We recommend reaching out at least four to six months before your wedding date. Custom letterpress work takes time — from design through press — and we take on a limited number of wedding suites each season to make sure every one gets the attention it deserves.
